Northern Harriers of Bosque Del Apache
On my first visit to Bosque, I didn’t know what we would find, but we found it very quickly. This Harrier seemed to be showing the way to the heart of the refuge and we eagerly followed.
This mature female Northern Harrier was hunting over the roadside fields at a pretty fast pace and I was challenged in trying to catch the right moment as she sped by.
This image was taken at 400mm 1/2500 sec. f7.1 ISO 720 with auto ISO engaged. All images in this series were taken at the same settings with ISO ranging from 640 to 800.
